All of au's products are manufactured in Dallas, Texas. The company is committed to using the highest quality materials and superior craftsmanship:
- Frames are all kiln-dried hardwood from domestic new growth trees.
- The fabrics all exceed the standards for commercial-grade (high traffic) upholstery.
- The manufacturing and assembly processes are very precise, creating a consistent level of quality from piece to piece.
- A member of the Sustainable Furniture Council, au recycles all cardboard, paper and left-over wood. To help prevent ozone layer damage, they use a high-density and high-resiliency foam free of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). They also use a water-based glue that doesn't contain or release volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
